When you sign up to Marro, once you’ve completed the sign-up steps and selected a delivery date for your trial box, you’ll be asked to authenticate your payment through your banking app.
At this stage, you may see a £0 charge appear for approval.
This is a normal card verification check to confirm that the card you’re using is active and ready to be linked to your Maro subscription.
Is the £0 Charge Safe?
Yes - the £0 charge is completely safe.
No money is taken from your account at this stage, and this is not your trial box payment. You’ll see the trial box price in the next step.
Why Do We Do This?
The £0 check helps us:
Confirm your card is active and valid
Ensure future box payments can be processed smoothly
Maro does not use direct debit. Each box is charged as an individual card payment, and this £0 check is a standard step to prepare for future deliveries.
Is This My Trial Box Payment?
No - this is not the trial box price.
After you approve the £0 authentication, you’ll be taken back to checkout where you’ll:
See your trial box price
Complete your sign-up
You’ll need to finish this step for your order to go through and subscription to start.
When Is My Account Created?
Your Marro account is only created once:
The trial box payment has been successfully taken, and
You receive your confirmation email
Once you approve the £0 authentication, please continue through the remaining steps to complete your sign-up.
