Can I return my box to you?

Returns and Collections

Updated this week

Can I return my Marro box for a refund?

Because our recipes are fresh and perishable we cannot accept returns once a box has left our kitchen.

Our packaging is specially designed to keep your cat's meals chilled for up to 50 hours while in transit. By the time a box could be returned to us, it would have exceeded this safety window, meaning the food would no longer be fresh and would unfortunately have to be disposed of.

Can I arrange a collection if I no longer want my delivery?

We are unable to arrange courier collections for boxes that have already been delivered or are currently out for delivery. Since the 50-hour freshness window applies from the moment the box leaves our kitchen, any return journey would mean the pouches are out of a freezer environment for too long. To maintain our high safety and quality standards, we cannot restock or resend any food that has been out of our care.

What should I do with a box I don't want?

If you have received a box that you can’t use, or if your cat has decided to take a break, we hate to see good food go to waste!

Here are the best ways to handle an unwanted box:

  • Store in the freezer: Our pouches stay fresh for up to a year from the cook-date (printed on pouch 1) when frozen. This means you can always give it some time and try again with your feline friend later. Sometimes it can just take a little longer for them to get used to their new recipes! If this happens, you can push your next delivery date ahead to give them some more time.

  • Donate to a local shelter: Many cat rescues and animal charities are incredibly grateful for donations of high-quality, fresh food.

  • Share with friends or family: Pass the pouches on to a fellow cat parent. If they love it and decide to sign up, remember to give them your refer-a-friend code so you can both enjoy a discount on your next orders.

  • Safe disposal: If you truly cannot donate or use the food, please ensure the food is disposed of and the packaging is recycled safely according to your local guidelines.
